Key Points For Daily Maintenance And Long-Term Operation Of Crusher

As an important piece of equipment for industrial material pretreatment, the operational stability and service life of a crusher largely depend on the meticulousness of its daily maintenance.Scientific maintenance can not only eliminate potential problems in a timely manner but also significantly reduce the failure rate and improve production efficiency.

Cleanliness is the foundation of daily maintenance. During operation, dust, debris, and sticky materials easily accumulate on the crusher. Long-term accumulation of these residues will accelerate component wear, clog screens and ventilation ducts, and even affect the insulation performance of the electrical system. After each day's operation, the machine casing, feed inlet, discharge chute, and easily dust-accumulating parts should be cleaned. Use dry compressed air or a soft brush to remove floating dust. Never directly wash live parts with water to prevent short circuits or corrosion.

Lubrication management is crucial for the smooth operation and durability of moving parts. The bearings of the cutter roller, reducer, and drive chain should be replenished or replaced with lubricating grease according to the cycle and grade specified in the equipment manual. In high-temperature or high-humidity environments, grease is prone to oxidation and deterioration; the oil change interval should be appropriately shortened, and the oil circuit should be checked for blockages and leaks in the seals. Before adding lubricating oil, old oil and impurities must be removed to ensure a complete and effective lubricating film, reducing friction loss and abnormal temperature rise.

Tightening checks are crucial for preventing loosening and vibration. Under continuous operation and load impact, bolts, couplings, and other connecting parts of the crusher may shift or loosen. It is recommended to inspect key fasteners weekly, using a torque wrench to tighten to the calibrated torque, and check the alignment of couplings to prevent additional vibration and bearing wear caused by eccentricity.

Electrical system maintenance is equally important. Regularly check control cabinet terminals for looseness and oxidation, cable sheath damage, and grounding reliability. For operating conditions with dust or moisture risks, keep the cabinet dry; if necessary, install a dehumidifier to prevent condensation from causing insulation degradation or malfunction.

Furthermore, establish operational monitoring habits, paying attention to changes in equipment vibration, noise, and temperature rise. If any abnormalities are found, immediately stop the machine for investigation. Periodically replacing vulnerable parts, such as screens, blades, and conveyor belts, can maintain stable crushing particle size and processing capacity.

In summary, the daily maintenance of a crusher encompasses cleaning, lubrication, tightening, electrical maintenance, and condition monitoring. This requires a systematized and standardized operating procedure, with the frequency and measures adjusted flexibly according to the specific operating conditions. Only by consistently fulfilling maintenance responsibilities can we ensure the equipment operates efficiently, reliably, and for extended periods, providing solid support for production.
